After his removal from his political party, former Malaysian Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin is now set to embark on a new career path as a radio presenter.
On February 9, 2023, the radio station revealed that the ex-UMNO man had confirmed his new position as part of the Bekpes Hot segment, which runs from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. every weekday morning.
Jamaluddin — also popularly known as KJ — is now set to join the crew already consisting of presenters Johan, Fara, Fauzana, and AG beginning February 15, 2023.

“A million thanks and appreciation to KJ for his willingness to join us as a Bekpes Hot presenter,” said Nazri Noran, the chief executive officer of Media Prima Audio.
Shah Hayatudin, the company’s network director, also revealed that Jamaluddin had joined in discussions to curate content and improve the listening experience for audience.
Before his latest entry into the world of broadcasting, KJ had spent over two decades as a member of UMNO, holding several ministerial positions in past administrations including Youth and Sports, Science, Technology, and Innovation, as well as Health.

Jamaluddin, however, was expelled from UMNO in January 2023 for supposedly violating the party’s constitution during the aftermath of the country’s 15th General Elections, which saw a scramble for power occur between Pakatan Harapan and Perikatan Nasional — the two coalitions with the highest number of parliamentary seats won.
